Qi Gong Classes / Instruction
Beginning in September 2010 I will be offering private, semi-private and group lessons in a level 1 qigong form. Each private session lasts 45-60 minutes.
I am presently planning some group classes in the area and will make that information available as soon as I have it. Group classes will likely include a short meditation and simple stretching along with the qigong form.
If you are interested in hosting a group class at your facility please get in touch with me and I'll be happy to discuss the possibilities with you! Qigong can be wonderful for people of all ages and due to its gentle nature is an excellent option for those of advancing age!
What is Qigong?
(pronounced chee-gung)
Qigong is an ancient Chinese health system which combines controlled breathing, intention and physical postures to cultivate energy for healing, maintenance and vitality. For a more detailed explanation, you can visit the website of the folks with whom I trained:

There is also lots of great information on the internet including more information about the benefits of qigong and the wonderful things that qigong has helped people with.
Is it difficult?
No! Qigong utilizes very slow movements and you will be verbally & visually guided through the form as we go. It is a very low-impact physical activity and can be done by just about everyone!
