Massage and your New Year's Health Resolutions
Massage can be a great way to support your resolutions this year. A very common reason that people find themselves dropping off of their diets or slipping into poor eating habits is stress. As many of you know, massage is a great way to de-stress and connect with your body. Do you know that soreness that kicks in 24-48 hours after a workout at the gym? Massage can assist in preventing muscle soreness when received after a workout. Stimulating circulation and helping to move fluid & waste products out of particular muscle groups can help you keep your resolve to work out regularly by helping prevent those days where sore muscles leave you thinking "oh, I think I'll take today off from the gym!!"
I've created a few specials (see "Current Specials" below for more info) geared specifically towards those who wish to use massage as an avenue for support and self-care. Below you will find a few fun Valentine's Day packages. As many of you know my office space is rather small so I've devised what I hope to be a clever plan to be able to offer a different take on "couples massage". The specific packages below will be available from February 10th through February 17th. After that time I will offer a similar version (likely without the flower and chocolates!)
There is a possibility that I will be able to rent a larger office in my building for the holiday weekend and find another excellent therapist to work with me so that we can offer simultaneous massages in the same room, but my current plan is a bit different.
With the Couples Massage packages you will see listed a $10 gift card to Vince's Coffee (which is located on the bottom floor of my building.) This will enable each partner to wait comfortably downstairs, sipping some coffee or tea and munching on a yummy muffin (hopefully in one of Ruben's comfy massage chairs!) while waiting for their partner to finish their massage! The coffee shop even has wifi available!
In addition to the packages below, I am willing to work with anyone to create a custom package or arrangement. Also, these packages are available to anyone! If you're single, feel free to book with a friend or other loved one!!

Effective as of January 5th,
2010 there is a new 24-hour cancellation policy in effect. I
respectfully request 24-hour notice for all cancelled or rescheduled
appointments. Clients canceling or rescheduling less than 24
hours prior to a scheduled appointment will be billed 50% of the regular
appointment fee as follows:
$25 for 1-hour sessions (regularly $50)
$31 for 75-minute sessions (regularly $62)
$37.50 for 90-minute sessions (regularly $75)
No-show clients will receive a bill for the full rate of the scheduled
session.
If you'd like to reschedule an appointment, just let me know more than 24
hours in advance by calling 425-988-4000.
I am happy to work with you whenever possible, but please respect my time
and the requests of others who
may be in immediate need and have to get turned away because I am holding a
certain time slot for your appointment.

1) Self-Care Special: This package is for those interested in consistent care. Six 1-hour massages for $270 ($45 per massage.)
2) Referral Rewards: For every person you refer who books and attends their appointment you will receive a 20% discount ($10 off). Discounts can be used as they are accumulated or you can save 5 referrals and receive a free massage!! Referred client must mention your name as their source at the time they book their appointment.

I am presently working to be credentialed with a number of popular insurance companies. Unfortunately it is a very lengthy process and it will likely be late spring before I am able to begin accepting insurance from clients. Also, I am sad to report that Regence remains closed to new providers so I will be unable to work with them at this time. I will, however, continue to check their status and hopefully eventually be able to work with them. My goal is to list the companies that I am pursuing in my next newsletter and in the meantime please let me know of any provider that you'd love to see on that list!
